How far in advance do I need to book my wedding with you?
I do tend to get booked up well in advance normally around 10 months so early booking is advisable. The months of May and September are the busiest months of the wedding year and these two months are usually the first to become fully booked.
If I change my mind, do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately as with most bespoke, custom made items, refunds are not available. This does not affect your statutory rights. However, I would like to point out that a great deal of time and discussion is spent with each Bride to ensure that all her wedding flowers are made to her specific wishes.
If I cancel my booking, will I lose my deposit?
As I am limited to the number of bookings I can take per month, once I am fully booked, I have to turn away many, many weddings. Because of this, I am afraid the deposit is non-refundable. The deposit required to secure your booking is £30.00.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
I used to have a shop many years ago but I now only offer a mail order service.
Do you offer free samples?
As all the flowers I use are top quality and are quite expensive to buy, it would not be cost effective for me to offer free samples of flowers. However, most Brides who are a little unsure of silk flowers order a buttonhole in the flower of their choice so they can see the quality of the flowers before they commit themselves to booking.
Do you offer consultations?
Home consultations are limited to Brides in my home town of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. For Brides who live outside of my area, I offer an excellent, reliable mail order service. I regret due to an exceptionally busy work schedule, I am unable to offer consultations to visiting Brides in my own home.
Do you do fresh flowers as well as artificial?
Sorry, fresh flowers are not available. I offer a mail order service only and fresh flowers would die.
My wedding is a quiet, family only occasion - is there a minimum order?
No, there is no minimum order. All the bouquets are designed to a Bride's wishes so every budget is catered for. No matter how intimate or grand your wedding may be, you will always receive the very best attention and service.
Are you a qualified florist?
Yes, I am a fully qualified florist and hold NVQ and City & Guilds Advanced Floristry Certificates together with over 15 years experience in wedding design. Many of my designs have been published in Bridal magazines and I also have clients who have appeared in "real life" wedding stories in bridal publications.
How will I receive my flowers?
All orders are sent by Special Delivery 48hr service, fully insured. They are well packed and perfectly safe and secure so they arrive in pristine condition.
How much is the post and packaging?
The current rate for postage and packaging within the UK is £18.00 per large box. A large box holds an average wedding order e.g., Bridal bouquet, 2 maids posies, buttonholes and corsages. For smaller orders, obviously the postage is less. Postal rates are subject to increase and are charged at the rate applicable at the time of posting. PLEASE NOTE: I REGRET THAT I AM UNABLE TO SEND MY DESIGNS TO NORTHERN & SOUTHERN IRELAND, CHANNEL ISLANDS OR THE ISLE OF MAN. SOME OUTER REGIONS OF SCOTLAND MAY TAKE A LITTLE LONGER THAN 48HR DELIVERY.
I have seen a bouquet in a magazine I have fallen in love with - could you copy it for me?
It would depend on the types of flowers used and whether they were available in their artificial form but if a photo is supplied, I will certainly have a look at it and let you know if this would be possible.
How soon will I need to pay for my flowers?
Your flowers are delivered 3 weeks prior to your wedding day. The balance is due 4 weeks prior to this so the balance will be due 7 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Once I have made a booking and paid a booking fee, will there be any increases in the price?
No, absolutely not, once a booking has been made and the booking fee of £30 has been paid to secure your booking, provided that the booking does not change in any way, the price of your order will be guaranteed to be the same as those applicable at the time you booked. Postage and packaging however is charged at the current rate applicable at the time your order is posted.
Can I pay by Switch or Credit Card?
Yes certainly, all major cards are accepted over the telephone.
Can I change the flowers or the colours of one of your designs on your website?
Yes by all means. All the bouquets are made to order and are not "ready made". Each bouquet is designed especially for each individual Bride. If a colour sample is sent, I will more than likely be able to match flowers/ribbon to your colour sample.
Can you make my flowers smell real!
Yes, a floral fragrance may be added free of charge to your flowers which makes them smell like the real thing! We would, however, advise against using the fragrance if you suffer from hayfever or other allergies.
When will your 2010 price list be available?
My 2010 price list will be available in December this year. My 2009 price list is available now.
